Pneumonia Sucks ---

I've not been posting nor doing anything fun for a while. I'm now on my second course of antibiotics designed to clear out the infection in my lungs.

It isn't so much that I hurt, since I really don't. It is just that I run out of breath whenever I do anything . . . and it starts me coughing and then I can't stop for a while . . . and it is exhausting.

So hopefully this newest drug will work and I'll soon be back on my feet.

Get well soon. I've had some bad bronchitis in the past, but that's about as close as I've ever gotten to pneumonia.

Gol Durn it Jeff!

Take your meds and get better soon. The last thing we need is for the founder of this group to pull a Jim Henson!

Now back to my Gabby Hayes impression and some authentic frontier gibberish. "Dad burned, dry gulching, ol' sidewinder! Tonto! Go into town and find out what's going on!"

Jeff,
Sorry to hear you aren't well and I wish you a speedy recovery. I understand reading a good book whilst being brought copious amounts of tea and biscuits works a treat.

Jeff,

I am sorry to hear your bad news. You can't even have a drink to cheer yourself up!

I think they advise keep sitting up, do a little but don't overdo it for a long time. It is very nasty so treat it with respect.

Very best wishes for a speedy recovery and look forward to reading of your armies again very soon.

I thank all of you for your good wishes; and I should point out that I'm not hospitalized. I'm at home.

I just have to take my medication (Levaquin) and take it easy . . . and oh yeah, I'm supposed to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight . . . with several days of rain in the forecast, that should be easy.

Actually almost anything I do leaves me short of breath . . . so I am not doing much anyway.

Still, I do appreciate the kind thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear you're not well, Jeff. I had a chest infection a couple years back and that was bad enough. I can only imagine how pneumonia must feel. Get well soon!

Best wishes, hope you feel better soon. A round of leeches may be in order.

I had pneumonia as a child (which was a while ago!) - I still remember the feeling in the lungs.
Take care, Jeff, and get well soon!
